Complex Home Modifications is not a new area but it can be challenging for many occupational therapists who are early in their career or have limited experience in this field. The MyAlpha team recognises the uniqueness of this space and is putting together resources and training packages to help our fellow counterparts to grow and develop, whether they are individual clinicians, sole traders, or service providers. Recommendations for home modifications can be a minefield, especially when considering AS1428 Design for Access and Mobility, relevant BCA requirements, and individual circumstances.
