Complex Seating Solution

Kenny was my son’s OT for a number of years. He co-designed a customised seating system with a WheelAir fan cooling backrest for my son who had very complex needs. He was attentive, extremely patient and thorough throughout ensuring my son would have all the comfort and physical support he required. Complex Home Modifications

Kenny assisted us as an occupational therapist during a recent home modification turning an existing bedroom into a purpose-built bathroom allowing full access for a wheelchair and the use of a hoist. He took great care with details to ensure that all the installations were at a suitable height for use. His communication through the build was positive, caring and made useful suggestions. Complex Needs and Pressure Care Management

Kenny has been my occupational therapist for some time now and has assisted me in obtaining a standing power wheelchair. He ensures all aspects of my posture and pressure care are correct. For over 34 years, I have used many occupational therapists, and Kenny is one of the best. As a 64-year-old, SCI C4/5 incomplete quadriplegic, my care and equipment needs are high. Wheelchair Prescription & Home Modifications

Kenny is an outstanding occupational therapist who we highly recommend. He has helped us on numerous occasions with my adult son who has a physical and intellectual disability. Major wheelchair modifications were scripted and completed perfectly. Minor Home Modifications

I would like to say the occupational therapist did a marvellous job making our bathroom safe for my daughter by removing the shower screen, installing a drop down and fixed handrail. It makes showering a lot easier for her and she is very stable with something strong to hold onto. He also had a railing put out in the backyard for her to be able to get up the stairs in stead of crawling. My daughter is very happy now because she can look at the garden and sit on the lawn. Wheelchair Prescription

My daughter has Cerebral Palsy and is wheelchair bound and non-verbal. The occupational therapist has great interpersonal skills and never upsets my daughter. We were comfortable with him from the start. He had not known my daughter for long but was able to take into consideration her size, weight and current body movement and posture as well as her comfort and future growth. He kept us informed all the way, stayed with us during the whole fitting process. He followed up after a few weeks of use and came out to our home to check on her comfort, posture, and use of the chair on different surfaces.

MyAlpha Therapy recognises the needs of individual clinicians and therapy services for training and mentoring. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) has become increasingly difficult due to the need to sustain services within the current funding framework.

Our team has compiled resources and training material on our website to support clinicians to develop skills and competence. Our goal is to make allied health practices evidence-based, evidence-informed and person-centered.

We understand that every therapy service provider has their expertise and scope of service, and we are all on a journey of growing and developing. We welcome partnerships in service delivery with individual clinicians and allied health service providers to ensure our service users achieve the
best health and functional outcomes.
